We use our NHS contract to provide routine dental care for children and teenagers under the age of 18. This includes examinations, preventive advice and necessary treatment.

Regular visits allow us to monitor development, identify any concerns early and provide guidance on brushing, diet and oral hygiene. Prevention is always our priority.

We understand that visiting the dentist can feel unfamiliar for children. Our team takes time to explain everything in simple, reassuring language and moves at a pace that feels comfortable.

Creating a positive relationship with dentistry at a young age can reduce anxiety later in life. We focus on encouragement rather than pressure.

Children’s appointments focus heavily on prevention. This may include fluoride application, fissure sealants and personalised brushing advice.

As children grow, we also monitor jaw development and alignment. If orthodontic concerns arise, we can discuss appropriate options and timing with you.

Children's Dentistry

At Lakes Dental, we are proud to care for children and support healthy smiles from an early age. We hold a small NHS contract which we use to provide dental care for children under 18 years of age. Our aim is to create positive, relaxed experiences that help young patients feel confident about visiting the dentist.

Early dental care builds lifelong habits — and we believe those first experiences should always feel calm and encouraging.
