At Lakes Dental, we are proud to support referring dentists across Cumbria and beyond with high-quality endodontic and implant referral services.
Both Dr Kelly Gordon (BDS) and Dr Fraser Callaghan BDS MFDS RCSEd PGDip (Endo) PGDip (Ortho) provide root canal treatment using a dental operating microscope, allowing enhanced precision and improved outcomes for complex cases. Kelly has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Endodontics and has extensive experience managing complex endodontic cases. Fraser also provides advanced endodontic care and is currently working towards a Master’s degree in Endodontics as part of his continued professional development.
Their referral service supports dentists managing challenging endodontic cases, including re-root canal treatments, complex infections and apicectomy procedures. Using microscope-led treatment and careful diagnostic planning, they aim to provide predictable outcomes before restorative care is carried out.
Implant referrals are managed by Dr Bhavika Patel, who holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Implantology and has been placing implants since 2010.
We understand the increasing expectations placed on primary care dentistry and the importance of providing patients with predictable, well-documented outcomes. When you refer to us, your patient remains your patient. We treat only within the scope of the referral, communicate clearly throughout, and return your patient to your care with a detailed report and recommendations for definitive restoration.
By referring patients with endodontic problems, you are giving them the best opportunity for a predictable outcome prior to restoration. Our microscope-led endodontic service allows us to manage complex cases with enhanced precision, supporting both clinical outcomes and patient confidence.

Completed cases can be returned to the referring dentist with a permanent core and/or a temporary crown in place, ready for the definitive protective restoration (except in cases requiring a cast post and core, where a temporary crown may still be provided).
Dr Bhavika Patel accepts referrals for dental implants and minor oral surgery procedures. Bhavika has been placing implants since 2010 and holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Implantology.
Implant treatment is planned using state-of-the-art imaging and 3D planning software to support accurate, predictable placement. We are careful to reinforce to your patients that they have been referred in their best interests and that you remain their dental practitioner. We will not address any issues outside the referral scope without speaking to you first.
